Nursery Awards Win

26th September 2017

We had some very exciting news this weekend – we won a Nursery World Award!

Tamba’s Helping Hands team, together with Norland College, was named as the winner in the “Community Support” category at the Nursery World Awards 2017.

The awards were open to anyone involved in early years education and childcare and we faced some tough competition for the accolade.

Representatives from our Helping Hands team and Norland College were at a special ceremony held in London on Saturday night and collected the award.

Support services manager Helen Turier was delighted to accept the gong. She said: “I’m so incredibly proud of all the staff and volunteers who make Helping Hands possible.

Our Helping Hands scheme, which we’re able to provide thanks to the incredible support we receive from Norland College, offers invaluable support to multiple birth families that are struggling to cope.

“It’s an honour to know that our work with families in crisis has been recognised on a national level.”

Helping Hands aims to provide short-term, practical support in the home to families with multiples who are in severe need or crisis. This includes helping people like Clare, who turned to Helping Hands when she needed help looking after her young triplet babies.
