Saving lives, supporting families

Which BBC presenter announced they're expecting twins this morning?

16th April 2018

We love hearing exciting “expecting” news – but hearing it on national radio is something that doesn’t happen often.

Radio 2 listeners (and Tamba) were delighted to hear Chris Evans and his wife Natasha are expecting twins later this year. Hurray!

The former TFI Friday and Big Breakfast presenter was chatting on his Radio 2 show this morning (Monday, 16th April 2018) when he made the announcement.

We want to congratulate the couple, and also make sure Chris is starting to revise, by reading through the Partners Factsheet.

Tamba CEO Keith Reed said: “A huge congratulations to Natasha and Chris - they must be excited, nervous and very emotional right now.

“Bringing twins into the world is an incredible experience and, as many of our families will confirm, twins means double the joy and double the love.

“The number of multiple births has steadily been increasing over the decades – so more and more families are joining the gang!

“Our charity has lots of advice for families from pregnancy right through to newborn, school years and beyond. We also have a factsheet for partners – so Chris can start revising!

“The best piece of advice is probably to take all the offers of help you’re given. Remember the family members and friends who offered to lend a hand and call them when you need them. In fact, a Tamba survey found 44% of partner respondents received help from family so they could attend antenatal appointments with their other half.

“If families of multiples join our charity and become a member, they can receive lots of discounts on the high street and online. And I think all our families will agree that making your money go further is of vital importance with newborns in the house.

“We can’t wait to hear more about the babies - it will be an amazing adventure for Chris and his family.”

The Mirror covered the news story this morning, including comments from Tamba’s Keith Reed. Click here to read the article.
