Enhancing individuality and emotional wellbeing of your twins, triplets or more
In order to help multiple birth children to develop their own sense of themselves as individuals they firstly need to be treated as individuals by those around them. This allows them to see themselves as individuals who have the bonus of being part of a multiple group rather than defining themselves as a twin or triplet. This in turn helps them grow up to become independent adults able to fulfil their own potential and make their own choices.
The Twin Connection - Making Educated Decisions About Raising Multiples
Tamba has worked in partnership with Dr Joan Friedman to create a webinar recording called The Twin Connection - Making Educated Decisions about Raising Multiples.
Dr Joan Friedman is a prominent and well-respected twin expert who shares her passionate views and insights about twins and their emotional needs with twins and their families throughout the world. She is an identical twin and the mother of five, including fraternal twin sons. She has written a number of books about the twin relationship – Emotionally Healthy Twins and The Same but Different and has her own website.
Most parents try to treat their twins as individuals, but may at times undermine their best intentions because they lack a practical set of guidelines for raising emotionally healthy multiples.
Listen to this webinar to find out:
How can I develop the habit of thinking of my twins or multiples as two+ unique individuals, when the rest of the world is forcing their twin/multipleness?
How do I make time for my multiples individually?
How as a parent can I be consistently fair towards each of my multiples?
Should I encourage my multiples to have separate friends and interests?
Throughout this webinar and drawing on her unique experience as a twin, the mother of twins, and as a psychotherapist, Dr. Joan outlines the seven key concepts for helping twins develop into self-realized, unique individuals.
The cost of this webinar recording is £6 for non-members, FREE for Tamba members. If you are Tamba member, please log into the Tamba site to access the webinar.
