Saving lives, supporting families

Win £25,000 by playing the Tamba Lottery

For the first time ever Tamba is running its very own lottery via the nation’s charity lottery, Unity.  It costs just £1 per week to play and you have the chance to win up to £25,000 and support Tamba’s work at the same time – 50p from every £1 comes directly to Tamba to help improve the lives of families with multiples.

How it Works

Twin bothers at a play centre

For just £1 per week you will be allocated with a 6 digit lottery number, which will remain yours for as long as you wish to keep playing.  You can purchase more than one number if you wish.  Every Saturday the lucky winners are selected at random and prize cheques are issued and posted directly to you, so there is no need to claim.

Winners have to match 3, 4, 5 or all 6 digits of the winning number in the correct place in the sequence.

  • 6 digits in the correct place wins £25,000

  • 5 digits in the correct place wins £1,000

  • 4 digits in the correct place wins £25

  • 3 digits in the correct place wins £5

The odds of winning a prize are 1 in 63- almost the same as the odds of having twins!

Why Take Part?

You might win £25,000 or other cash prizes!

We get a regular source of income!

Each year Tamba needs to raise more than £200,000, over and above income received in membership fees, in order to run our usual services. Our Tamba Lottery will provide an income to ensure we can continue to provide our free-phone help-line Twinline, free booklets and factsheets and antenatal and parenting courses. This money will also help us raise awareness of Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome, support bereaved families, undertake research and campaign to improve the lives of multiple birth families.

Twin bothers playing with other children at a play centre

For every 100 people who join the Tamba Lottery we receive £2,600 per year, which could enable us to:

  • Employ a campaign worker for two and a half months to raise awareness of Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome and ultimately save twin lives

Or

  • Provide intensive telephone support to 173 parents, often in distress, via our free-phone help-line, Twinline.
