Saving lives, supporting families

Tamba’s strategic plan – The next chapter

In 2018 the Twins and Multiple Births Association (Tamba) will be 40.  The reason for existing is as strong today as it was when we were founded, our aim for the future is to do even better, and help more families, than ever before. Our strategic plan will focus and steer our work as we take Tamba forward into the next phase.

Looking back…

Over the period of our last strategic plan  we have for the first time, committed to funding research; we set up the ‘Helping Hands’ project (in part a reaction to the economic climate); we overhauled our members' discount scheme and we campaigned successfully to improve the lives of our families.

The reason for Tamba existing is as strong today as when the charity was founded.

Although significant progress has been made, there is still work to be done.

Looking to the future

Over the next 5 years we commit to:

  • Improving clinical outcomes
  • Ensure parents are confident in their abilities and know where to turn when they need help
  • Ensure professionals offer accurate, timely and relevant information to our families
  • Ensure national and local policy recognises the specific needs of our families

A summary of our strategic plan can be found here. If you prefer to read about our strategy in more detail, then download our longer version.
